Terms and Conditions

Main Comments

  1. Standard hire period is 6 weeks and includes delivery, installation and insurance.
  2. Installation date not secured until quote has been accepted electronically & 50% booking confirmation fee is paid.
  3. The balance payment needs to be made once the property is sold OR at the end of 6 weeks, whichever is earlier.
  4. Collection of furniture will occur upon the sale of the property or the property going unconditional (whichever happens first) at the first available time, irrespective of the remaining hire period.
  5. Collection of furniture will occur immediately if the property is withdrawn from sale. The balance payment will also need to be settled immediately.

Extensions

  1. The hire period may be extended by mutual agreement between the client and Stage Ready. Stage Ready must be notified at least 2 business days prior to the scheduled de-stage date of your intention to extend.
  2. If the hire period is extended the client agrees to pay the extension fee upon receipt of a tax invoice. Extension fees will be charged in minimum 1-week blocks at a fee of 10% of the original invoice amount. Should the invoice remain unpaid within 7 days of being issued Stage Ready reserves the right to collect furniture immediately.
  3. All other terms and conditions apply according to the original hire agreement.

Cancellation and Date Changes

  1. Any change to installation date must be requested in writing to Stage Ready at least 2 business days prior to the installation date or a $300 rescheduling fee will be incurred.
  2. If you cancel your staging agreement after the receipt of the booking fee, a cancellation fee will be charged as follows:
    • Cancellation greater than 1 week from installation date = cancellation fee equal to 20% of initial invoice
    • Cancellation less than 1 week from installation but greater than 2 days from installation = cancellation fee equal to 30% of initial invoice
    • Cancellation less than 2 days from installation = cancellation fee equal to 50% of initial invoice
  3. In the unlikely event that Stage Ready is rendered unable, wholly or in part, to comply with its obligations under this agreement by reason of any event or circumstance outside of our control then such obligations will be suspended until such time as they can be completed.

Condition of Goods

  1. All items remain the property of Stage Ready. Stage Ready will maintain a checklist of items used to stage your property. All items must remain at the property and are only to be moved/removed by contractors authorised by Stage Ready.
  2. All items must be kept in good condition. Any damage not considered fair wear, and tear will be considered your responsibility. Any costs to repair or replace the item as determined by Stage Ready will be invoiced to the client.
  3. Linen is provided for display purposes only and should not be used. A cleaning fee will be charged in the event linen has been used as determined by Stage Ready.
  4. Candles are for display purposes only and should not be used due to the fire risk they pose.
  5. Should any damage occur to our items Stage Ready must be notified immediately. Please do not attempt to clean or rectify any damage without first consulting Stage Ready.

Insurance

  1. Stage Ready holds full public liability insurance. This covers any accidental damage to your property in the unlikely event that damage occurs during the staging process.
  2. All items are insured for fire and theft by forcible entry. In the event of any damage or loss of items you must:
    • Report the matter immediately to Victoria Police and obtain a police report.
    • Notify Stage Ready as soon as the damage or loss is discovered and provide us with a copy of the police report.

Installation Day

  1. You are required to provide access to the property on installation day from 8am including keys to all entry doors and garages. Stage Ready can collect keys from your agent if arranged prior to installation day.
  2. We require the property to be clean with all repairs and maintenance completed prior to installation day. Stage Ready reserves the right to delay installation if they deem the property not ready for staging. Any delay in staging will incur a charge of $150 per hour and/or a restocking fee of $500 should the installation need to be rescheduled. This amount will be invoiced and payable immediately.
  3. Goods specified in our quote may vary according to suitability and final selection by the stylist. The client engages Stage Ready to design and install the staging campaign. Any changes requested to stock installed will be charged a minimum $300 plus any additional hire fees applicable, refunds will not be offered for items removed.
  4. As part of the staging process Stage Ready may hang artwork or wall hangings, which require the installation of picture hooks and/or other fittings. These hooks and fittings will remain in the wall at the completion of the staging campaign. Should you not want us to use these types of fittings this will limit the size and type of artwork (if any) that can be supplied.
  5. Occasionally it may not be possible to complete the installation in a single day due to timings of furniture delivery and/or the size of the property. In this case we will contact you for permission to hold keys overnight to finalise the staging process the next day.
    • Electricity must be connected and switched on for installation and de-stage.
    • Our team will not remove shoes during installation and de-stage.
    • The property must be vacant of any tradespeople, residents and pets during installation and de-stage.

Early Completions

  1. In the case that your property sells before the end of the minimum contract term of 6 weeks, you agree to make furniture available for collections on the first available collection date by Stage Ready.
  2. No pro-rata refund will be provided for early termination if within this 6-week period. If your contract has been extended past this 6-week minimum, then a refund will only be provided for any full week unused post the de-staging date. No refund will be provided for partial weeks used.

De-stage

  1. As with the installation day you are required to provide access to the property on the agreed de-stage day from 8am including keys to all entry doors and garages. Stage Ready can collect keys from your agent if arranged prior to de-stage day.
  2. Stage Ready will check and pack all items as per the delivery checklist. Whilst we appreciate you may want to help, please do not move or pack any items as this will only extend the time it takes to complete the de-stage process.
  3. All OH&S requirements must be adhered to.

Limitation of Liability

  1. Stage Ready does not guarantee the sale of your property or the attainment of a specific sale price.
